Well, if you haven’t already figured it out by now, I’ll just confirm that I am “one of those” who love Jesus. Unashamedly, I might add. I won’t preach to you, but I will tell you that He has changed my life.
I don’t have religion. I have relationship. The two are very different. Jesus permeates every part of my life (I hope). He’s with me on my road bike, at the gym, at work, when I’m with my family, when I’m alone – everywhere. He influences my choices. He doesn’t demand. But because I am in relationship, because He is ever changing my heart, my perceptions, my judgements, I am able to make healthier choices. I don’t always get it right, though. My failures are constant reminders of just how much I need HIM and I am constantly grateful for His grace, mercy and forgiveness – I can’t do life without Him.
The Church on Rush Creek is my church family on this journey. I have been with RC since 2002 and they have seen me through so many ups and downs in life. We were created to be in community and to support one another in life. We are not called to be hermits or lone rangers – we are called to love each other and help each other. This has been my experience at RC. What a beautiful family I have.
